Three feared dead in Kelowna float plane crash

Three people are feared dead after a small float plane crashed near Kelowna in the Okanagan region of B.C. on Sunday evening. The plane, a single-engine de Havilland Beaver, crashed into trees near a highway and became engulfed in flames.

Emergency crews responding to the crash confirmed that at least one person had died, but were waiting to access the site this morning before confirming the fate of the other two. The Transportation Safety Board has sent investigators to examine the scene to determine a possible cause.
