Flightline Training Services, a Brampton, Ont.-based aircraft maintenance training company, has been granted UAE General Civil Aviation Authority Civil Aviation Regulation 147 approval for its maintenance training programs.

“I am very proud of our organization, it has been 15 years since we started and with a lot of hard work and dedication we have achieved this fantastic milestone,” said Chief executive officer, Phyl Durdey. “First Transport Canada, then EASA [European Aviation Safety Agency] and now GCAA. This opens a lot of doors.”

Founded in 2001, this Toronto-based company has established a worldwide reputation for excellence. The company currently serves its 120 customers in 35 countries on 32 aircraft types.

“This allows the airlines, MROs [maintenance, repair and overhauls] in the UAE to have an alternative cost effective solution for maintenance training. Our prime focus is to allow our customers to train more technicians by keeping the cost of training lower,” said Durdey.

Flightline Training Services currently offers training on the Bombardier CRJ, Dash-7, Dash-8 100/200/300, Dash-8 Q400, ATR 42/72, DHC-6 Twin Otter, Beechcraft 1900, King Air 100/200/350, SAAB 340, BAe 146, RJ85, Airbus A320, Bombardier Challenger 604/605, and many other models.

Flightline Training Services has earned a respected position as a provider of quality maintenance training in a technically demanding industry.

“Our reputation is very important to us,” said Durdey. “We want to be the trainer of choice, providing this type of training offers a competitive advantage to our customers.”
