Cyclone experiences hard landing

On Feb. 18, a CH-148 Cyclone maritime helicopter deployed on Operation Projection experienced a hard landing on board Naval Replenishment Unit (NRU) Asterix.

The helicopter and NRU Asterix are currently operating with HMCS Regina, a Halifax-class frigate. The incident took place west of Kauai, Hawaii.

Canadian Armed Forces Operations reported there were no injuries to personnel following the incident, which is currently being investigated. Damages to the Cyclone are still being assessed, said a briefing note.
