Airmedic, based at Saint-Hubert, and Skyservice Air Ambulance International (Skyservice), based at Montreal-Dorval, have come together to deliver a made-in-Quebec solution to critical care transport in the province.

Together, the companies offer seven critical care-equipped aircraft. Airmedic operates a fleet of Agusta helicopters and Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, while Skyservice flies a fleet of three Learjet 45XR long-range jets.

Both companies have impeccable safety records and maintain a strong safety management system. Our strength is the quality of medicine practiced both in the field and on board the aircraft. Airmedic has concentrated on providing services in Quebec and bordering towns and territories, while Skyservice has focused on providing global services, having visited over 180 countries and territories.

The joint venture will allow the companies to operate the right aircraft for the right mission at the right time. Airmedic will benefit from access to the long-range Skyservice aircraft, while Skyservice will benefit from the short- to medium-range of Airmedic’s fleet. Our customers will see a seamless operation depending upon their needs.

Both companies work on behalf of local hospitals and health boards, travel health insurers and the general public. Airmedic and Skyservice both maintain membership programs that allow the general public to access their services. Airmedic and Skyservice both stress the need to travel protected when leaving home–whether going to the cottage or going to Bangkok, the need is still the same.

As the companies embark on this joint venture together, they are extremely proud of their Quebec roots and that this made-in-Quebec solution is available not only to Quebecers but to everyone travelling both at home and abroad. Access to our services are only a phone call or email away.
