CAE makes key leadership appointments within defence & security business unit

CAE has announced two key executive appointments within the company’s defence and security business unit.

Ian Bell has been appointed vice-president and general manager for Asia/Pacific and Middle East and Marc-Olivier Sabourin has been appointed vice-president and general manager for Europe and Africa.

Bell has been with CAE for more than 10 years and previously led the Europe/Middle East/Africa region. In his new role, Bell will be responsible for the general management and operation of CAE’s defence and security business unit in the Middle East and Asia/Pacific. He will be based primarily at CAE’s regional headquarters office in Sydney, Australia.

Sabourin has been with CAE for more than 21 years and has held a variety of senior management positions within engineering, program management and business development.

Most recently, Sabourin was regional operations director and deputy general manager for the Europe region. In his new role, Sabourin will be responsible for the general management and operation of CAE’s defence and security business unit in Europe and Africa. He will be based at CAE’s facility in Stolberg, Germany, where the company has several hundred employees serving the Europe/Africa regions.
