Canadian North has announced the launch of a new Wednesday flight between Iqaluit, Cape Dorset and Rankin Inlet, Nunavut.

Service will begin Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018. Canadian North will operate this flight with a versatile Bombardier Dash 8 combi aircraft, providing additional passenger and cargo capacity between the Qikiqtani and Kivalliq regions.

As with all of its combi flights, Canadian North will continually adjust the seating and cargo mix to efficiently meet customer demand.

This flight has been scheduled with convenient early departure and arrival times, bringing new convenience for medical, duty, corporate and leisure travellers flying between the Qikiqtani and the Kivalliq.

It will also facilitate the movement of country foods and other important freight between these regions via Fetchable (www.fetchable.ca), Canadian North’s 24/7 online cargo service offered in partnership with BBE Expediting Ltd.

“Canadian North is responding to customer feedback and has identified this opportunity to enhance its passenger and cargo service between the Qikiqtani and Kivalliq regions,” said Andrew Pope, vice-president of scheduled services and cargo for Canadian North.

“We are pleased to introduce another convenient flight option and look forward to offering exceptional customer service, warm hospitality and the opportunity to earn Aurora Rewards points towards free Canadian North flights.”

In addition to this new Wednesday flight, Canadian North will also continue to offer its existing Trans-Arctic service between Yellowknife, Rankin Inlet and Iqaluit on Mondays and Friday, using its fast and comfortable Boeing 737-300 and 737-200 combis, the largest aircraft to operate between these markets.
