Featuring one of the strongest educational programs in recent years, and with 60 per cent of exhibit space already sold, the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) national convention and exhibit, CBAA 2018, in Waterloo, Ont., from June 12 to 14 is anticipated to draw hundreds of business aviation leaders from across Canada.

“We are extremely pleased to bring our convention back to Southern Ontario, home base for many of our members,” said CBAA interim president and CEO Rudy Toering.

Toering is confident that the convention’s mix of expert speakers, high-calibre educational sessions and professional development courses, combined with unique networking opportunities and over 80 exhibits, including aircraft, will prove to be an irresistible draw.

Over 700 business aviation leaders are expected to attend.

The convention provides unique opportunities for delegates to hone specific skills and increase their knowledge, with streamed sessions aimed at flight operations/management; pilots and crew; maintenance engineers; schedulers and dispatchers and fixed-base operators (FBOs).

As well, delegates will also be able to register for specially-priced, CBAA-endorsed, certified professional development workshops offered just prior to the convention: Quality Systems Auditor for 604, Quality Assurance Manager and Corrective Action Plans.

The educational program is a major part of the convention, and the success of the exhibit and static is equally important. To ensure that we maximize opportunities for buyers and sellers to connect without distraction, CBAA will not be holding any sessions during exhibit hours.

To further support exhibitors, CBAA will once again offer its easy-to-use and effective B2B TO GO scheduling app, at no charge, to allow attendees to find and meet up with each other.

“I think CBAA 2018 is the whole package,” Toering concluded. “It offers one-of-a-kind educational opportunities, dedicated access to some of aviation’s leading products and services, many ways to network and connect. Plus, it is being held in a dynamic and prosperous region that an epicentre of corporate and on-demand air services. I hope we see a record turn-out for what I know will be one of our best–and most worthwhile–conventions ever.”
