The company recognizes Charnley’s unique experience, gained from more than 20 years of aircraft sales and 17 years at Pratt & Whitney Canada.

Beginning his career at Raytheon, Charnley went on to lead the international Beech 1900 sales team, landing several large fleet transactions in France, Algeria and Angola. From there, he moved to leading the Latin America/Canada team representing both Beechcraft and Hawker products.

Charnley’s sales experience, knowledge and solid industry relationships–not just in his home country of Canada but also worldwide–will be invaluable to discerning clients who are looking to buy or sell an aircraft quickly.

Despite retiring from Textron in late 2016, Charnley decided to join Hatt & Associates largely due to his relationship with president Brad Hatt, with whom he worked at Hawker Beechcraft for more than a decade.

“I was impressed with the unique blend that Hatt & Associates offers, from Brad’s leadership to his relationships with OEMs, FBOs, major suppliers, fractional companies, MRO and operating fleets,” said Charnley. “I also appreciate the company’s ability to offer clients the benefits of locally-based sales professionals as well as the relationships Hatt & Associates have worldwide.”

Since its inception in 2015, Hatt & Associates has been averaging almost 30 transactions a year involving aircraft brokerage, acquisitions and consulting.  The company aims to assist clients along every step of the journey to aircraft ownership, from airframe selection to financing, to finally taking flight.
