David Shepherd, vice-president of Certification at Dart Aerospace, comments: “Dart is excited to bring its H130 landing gear to market. While all Dart H130 landing gear components are compatible with the OEM H130 landing gear components, Dart has incorporated some improvements that customers should find interesting, such as full length wearplates and more durable aft blades.”

Dart’s H130 gear components can replace original parts individually and can also be delivered fully assembled from the factory for ease of installation.

“Dart’s landing gear portfolio has been growing tremendously in the past year and we look forward to becoming the alternative and go-to landing gear supplier to the H130 community,” added Steve Ghaleb, vice-president of Commercial Operations at Dart Aerospace.

This complete H130 landing gear is certified for the B4 and T2 variants by TCCA, with FAA and EASA expected in the coming months.

AW139 cargo-carrying solution

When Rio de Janeiro-based Aeróleo Táxi Aéreo (Aeróleo), a subsidiary of Era Group Inc., needed a certified cargo-carrying solution for its fleet of AW139s, Dart Aerospace answered the challenge. Aeróleo has provided offshore transportation services in Brazil for over 40 years and recently enhanced its cargo-carrying capacity for its 13 AW139s through the purchase of Dart’s certified AW139 high capacity cargo nets.

Dart’s AW139 cargo net adds 30 per cent more cargo capacity and an extra 160 pounds (72.5 kilograms) to the load-carrying limit over OEM nets. Dart Aerospace Photo

“Dart was at the right place at the right time to develop an effective, customized cargo net for Aeróleo’s operations in Brazil, which had met — if not exceeded — their expectations,” said Richard Plourde, Dart’s director of Sales for the Americas.

Dart’s AW139 high capacity cargo net, which the company designs and manufactures at its primary facility in Hawkesbury, Ont., adds 30 per cent more cargo capacity and an extra 160 pounds (72.5 kilograms) to the load-carrying limit over OEM nets. These features, coupled with ease of installation, worked in Aeróleo’s favour as their personnel have only eight minutes to unload and reload the cargo compartment when the aircraft lands on an oil platform.

As a result of Dart’s long-standing relationships with aviation authorities all over the world, Dart had the AW139 high capacity cargo net certified with Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), adding peace of mind for the end-user.
