First Air has announced that as of May 21, 2017, it will be increasing its frequency on its trans-territorial route between Iqaluit and Yellowknife with a stop in Rankin Inlet from three to four weekly services.
An additional frequency will operate on Sundays resulting in a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday schedule. The additional flight will be operated using a Summit Air RJ85 aircraft.
“The increased frequency is in response to customer feedback for a weekend option. We always look for ways to offer the most comprehensive schedule possible for our customers, taking the market needs into account. The additional Sunday flight will offer the increased flexibility our customer’s desire,” said a First Air official.
