Estimated reading time 1 minute, 40 seconds.

FLYGTA Airlines, Avworld Canada and the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport have announced the grand opening of FLYGTA’s The Prop Shop by Avworld located at the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport in Markham, Ont.

FLYGTA’s Prop Shop provides a bricks and mortar retail shopping experience for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. FLYGTA in conjunction with Avworld Canada is stocking the shelves at the new Prop Shop with must have pilot supplies and passenger consumables. FLYGTA has partnered with Avworld and the Neath family, who have been running their flight emporium since 1969. Through the partnership, FLYGTA leverages Avworld’s retail experience gained through operating a retail outlet in Toronto with an on-line retail experience. With immediate access to pilot supplies, transient pilots and passengers can pick up that must-have product without delay. Pilots will soon be able to order products on-line from the online store with delivery at the new Prop Shop. Additional retail outlets are scheduled to be opened at other FLYGTA locations including Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Muskoka Airport.

FLYGTA’s vision and mandate is to support the southern Ontario airport network, while supporting tourism in Canada. FLYGTA prides itself as leaders in travel connectivity, and creates options for the needs of air traffic in our province.

The expansion at the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport is another step to enhance tourism opportunities within our regions. Through the next several weeks, the group will announce and execute several initiatives and events which will advance the next generation of tourism and travel in Ontario.
