Presagis, a recognized leader in modeling and simulation solutions, announced on Nov. 17 the launch of Panorama, its new, competitively-priced image generation system that gives organizations the ability to add high-fidelity, scalable imaging to their simulation systems.

Responding to market needs for a reliable and affordable solution, Panorama is capable of providing out-of-the-window (OTW), electro-optical (EO), night-vision goggles (NVG) and infrared (IR) views for ground, air, and marine domains.

“Our customers have been asking for a high-performance, low-risk image generator that will shorten their time-to-market while ensuring successful operation day-in and day-out,” explained Stephane Blondin, Presagis vice-president of product management and marketing.

“With an attractive, entry-level price tag, Panorama is able to deliver reliable, high-quality visuals for air, naval, and ground applications with advanced environmental effects, real-life ephemeris, animated lifeform models and thousands of 3D models.”

Panorama is common image generator interface (CIGI), distributed interactive simulation (DIS), and high-level architecture (HLA) compliant. It natively uses the open geospatial consortium common database (OGC CDB) synthetic environment database specification, as well as the OpenFlight format.

“Whether used for desktop deployment or multi-channel displays, we understand that value for money is critical for our customers. By leveraging our knowledge and experience of virtual environments, and as creators of the OpenFlight format and original contributors to the OGC CDB specification, Presagis is in an excellent position to design, configure, and deliver a high-performing image generation solution at a very competitive price,” said Jean-Michel Brière, Presagis president.

Panorama is available in three distinct configurations to better adapt to customer needs and requirements: mobile, desktop and extreme.

Panorama will be demonstrated at the upcoming Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) taking place Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 in Orlando, Fla.
