Saskatoon Airport Authority announces new VP and CFO

Skyxe Saskatoon Airport has announced Nick JB Purich as its new vice-president, Corporate Administration, and chief financial officer.

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Purich is pleased to be joining Skyxe in this role. Previously, he held the position of vice-president, Finance and chief financial officer of Wasaya Group, a regional airline headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ont. where he helped lead a financial restructuring and transformation and later a multi-million dollar recapitalization and investment transaction.

Prior to joining Wasaya Group, Purich held various positions with EY Calgary (formally Ernst & Young LLP) including as a manager in the firm’s transaction advisory services practice.

Purich holds both a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree from University of Saskatchewan and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CA).

Purich looks forward to working with Skyxe’s executive team to support economic growth in the City of Saskatoon and Province of Saskatchewan and continually grow and improve upon an already exceptional airport experience at Skyxe.

He will join Skyxe on Nov. 5, 2018, succeeding the planned retirement of Drew Britz, who has been a highly valued and esteemed member of the executive team, which will be celebrated in due course.
