Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. has announced the shipment of two units of the STAR V-trk to its customer and V-trk distributor in China, Tianjin Zhonglian Tiantong Space Technology Co. Ltd., (ZLT).
ZLT will be in charge of product distribution and associated services in China, addressing the requirements of local operators, from general aviation to regional aircraft and helicopters. STAR is promoting the STAR V-trk in the rest of the world.
The STAR V-trk performs tracking and positioning through satcom, and can provide on-board data collection, processing and downloading.
With services accessible through a web-based portal, it will provide quick and improved situational awareness.
Its highly reduced form-factor makes it ideal for simple installation on-board a large variety of aerospace assets where real estate and weight are critical.
The STAR V-trk specifically targets small and medium-sized aircraft as well as the helicopter market segment. Future developments also include rapid applications to ground vehicles.
The STAR V-trk is intended to be offered in several versions, offering the customers flexibility in configuration and scalability to meet the operator’s diverse needs.
