Stewart Aviation has assumed the fixed based operation (FBO) and fuel services at the Peterborough Airport (CYPQ). Stewart Aviation is part of the World Fuel Services Network.

This new opportunity allows Scott Stewart and Dana Empey, owners of G. Stewart Travel Services Ltd., with retail operations under Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) and wholesale operations under Stewart Tours, to move forward with their vision and strategic plan to enhance the overall experience for passengers, pilots and flight crews travelling in and out of the airport.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with this opportunity,” says Scott Stewart, president of Stewart Aviation. “In 2014, when we offered our inaugural flight to New York City to celebrate CWT/Stewart Travel’s 40th anniversary, we knew we were on to something special. Now that we’ve assumed the operations of the FBO and fuel services, we’re looking forward to offering the same exceptional service to our new clients at the airport.”

Clients will recognize familiar faces at Stewart Aviation, as most of the previous FBO operational staff remain.

Collectively, Stewart Aviation is proud to offer over 20 years of experience to support the commercial and recreational pilots and crew who touch down and take off each year from the Peterborough Airport.

“With Stewart Travel’s 40-plus years of experience, they are a natural fit and a real asset to the Peterborough Airport,” said Trent Gervais, general manager at the Peterborough Airport. “I am confident in Stewart Aviation’s ability to positively contribute to the safe operations and reputation of our airport.”

Stewart Aviation looks forward to expanding its current FBO services and encouraging more air travel to and from the Peterborough area. Currently CWT/Stewart Travel has four charters booked for 2019, including their newly announced Bahamas cruise out of Florida.
