Aviation Intertec Services (AIS) has announced that Prince Albert, Sask.-based Transwest Air has selected Remote Access Aviation System (RAAS) as its monitoring and evaluation (M&E) solution.
After detailed review of M&E software platforms from 2014 through 2017, RAAS by AIS was chosen to add significant workflow efficiency and decision support for its corporate enterprise.
Since 2006, Transwest Air has been hampered by functional and technological deficiencies in its legacy M&E software platform, resulting in severely decreased efficiency.
AIS will work with Transwest to deploy RAAS in such a manner that day-to-day operational overheads will be immediately decreased by up to 50 per cent, while charting a path for future deployment of advanced features such as automated airframe time updating, e-signature, and various inter-system integration objectives.
Transwest Air is the largest scheduled, charter and medevac aviation operation in Saskatchewan, with a heritage of 60 years. It has a diverse fleet of over 40 fixed wing aircraft on wheels, floats, and skis, from Cessna 185 Skywagons to Saab 340s, and rotary aircraft from Bell 206s to 205s.
