Trescal, the international specialist in calibration services, has announced the acquisition of Calibración de analizadores de gas SL. (Calgas), a calibration services provider based in Madrid, Spain, and of Industrial Systech Ltd (ISL) in Toronto, Ont.

These acquisitions have been completed with the support of Ardian, its majority shareholder.

Founded in 2003, Calgas delivers the most complete span of Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) accredited calibration services for gas analyzers together with accredited gas flow.

Calgas employs 10 people, generating a turnover of 600,000 euros, and is active in the ICT(inspection, certification and test), oil and gas and food and beverages sectors.

This is the fourth acquisition in Spain since 2014 and it expands Trescal’s accreditation technical scope to the calibration of gas analyzers.

Founded in 1991 and based in Toronto, ISL is an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accredited calibration laboratory specializing in temperature, heat temperature in particular, according to the AMS 2750E standard for the aerospace industry and in pressure.

ISL also manufactures and sells bespoke thermocouples. ISL employs three people and is active in the aerospace, automotive and energy sectors. This is the third acquisition in Canada since 2016.

Guillaume Caroit, Trescal deputy CEO, said: “These acquisitions illustrate our commitment to technical excellence and our constant determination to expand our offering such as calibration of gas analysers.”

These acquisitions are the 26th and 27th acquisitions since the change of ownership to Ardian in July 2013.
