Vertical, Skies named as preferred advertising platforms

MHM Publishing is pleased to announce that two of its aviation magazines—Vertical and Skies—have been voted as top choices in a recent BDN Aerospace Marketing survey, which asked aerospace and defence marketers to name their preferred advertising platforms. Rather than providing a list of eligible publication names, BDN opted to pose an open-ended question that required respondents to recall the names of their preferred industry magazines (print and digital). 
Vertical came in second place, while Skies made the top 10. Complete survey results can be seen here. “We conducted the survey to understand the state of advertising within aviation, aerospace and defence,” explained Kyle Davis, partner, BDN Aerospace Marketing. “Specifically, because marketing is changing so much, we were interested in knowing whether advertising is still viewed as effective and relevant in our industry.”
Overall, she reported, many marketers think print and digital advertising is still valuable within the context of a larger integrated marketing plan.
The survey elicited comments from more than 100 industry marketing professionals, which will be published by BDN next week. “The verbatim comments are very interesting in this regard and show a broad range of preferences, opinions and experiences,” said Davis.
