Women in Defence & Security (WiDS) is calling for applications for the WiDS Memorial Scholarship. As part of the WiDS Scholarship fund, which recognizes excellence in women furthering their educational pursuits related to Canada’s defence and security, WiDS will once again be awarding one or more scholarships worth $10,000 to female students with interests in defence and security. The successful 2019 recipient(s) will be announced at the 2019 WiDS Memorial Scholarship breakfast in Ottawa on March 7.
WiDS is also partnering with the Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI) to offer student fellowships. This opportunity aims to advance the careers of women in defence and security by offering one or more female graduate or post-graduate students mentorship, work and research/analysis opportunities with CGAI, access to CGAI publications and resources.
The deadline for the 2019 scholarship and fellowship applications is Dec. 15, 2018.
