While in Quebec City as a guest speaker for Routes Americas 2019, Nawal Taneja, executive-in-residence at Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, took the opportunity to introduce his most recent book, Re-Platforming the Airline Business.
Gaëtan Gagné, president and CEO of Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), wrote a foreword for the book, alongside his counterparts at Denver and Amsterdam airports, to name a few. YQB’s vision and development plan are also discussed in the book and serve as an inspiring example in a constantly changing business environment.
Taneja explains in his book that the airport industry is growing rapidly, and that its members–particularly airlines and airports–should not only use a wide range of technologies like artificial intelligence, biometrics and blockchain, but also intelligent engagement platforms that are specifically designed for customers, to meet travellers’ mobility needs.
