Summit Air opens Calgary base; adds Avro RJ-100 aircraft

Summit Air will be opening an operating base at the Calgary International Airport to support its growing footprint in Western Canada. The company also announced the acquisition and deployment of its first Avro RJ 100 jet aircraft.

 
With a maximum cruise speed of 422 knots (486 miles per hour) the HondaJet is the fastest jet in its class; it soars highest in its class with a maximum altitude of 43,000 feet; and it is the most fuel-efficient light jet in its class by up to 17 per cent.
