The airline’s flagship Bombardier Q400, C-GLQB (the first Porter Q400), has been adorned with special celebratory markings including a festive tail featuring the airline’s raccoon mascot. An additional aircraft will be painted in the full livery, and the entire fleet will feature a decal adjacent to the port boarding door throughout the landmark sesquicentennial year.

“We’re extremely proud to have Porter, a highly regarded Canadian company, partner with Ottawa 2017,” said Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson. “This partnership will enable us to share the festive spirit of our country’s 150th anniversary celebrations with air travellers throughout Canada and in the U.S.”

“As the nation’s capital, Ottawa will be at the centre of celebrations for Canada’s 150th birthday,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “Porter proudly embodies the modernity and founding spirit of Canada, so this partnership is a perfect fit for us.”

Canada’s 150th celebrations will offer Canadians and visitors from around the world an exceptional and memorable year of exciting experiences while bringing a record number of visitors to Ottawa in 2017 to celebrate this important milestone for Canada.
