700 Wing RCAF Association to acknowledge Battle of Britain with flyover

The 700 (City of Edmonton) Royal Canadian Air Force Association will be acknowledging the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a flyover over the City of Edmonton.

The flyover will take place Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020 between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Viewing areas include:

  • Capital Plaza Legislature
  • River valley near Legislature
  • 108 Street/Capital Boulevard
  • 104 Avenue, MacEwan University
  • Valour Place
  • Alberta Aviation Museum
  • Griesbach RCAF Park
  • Kipnes Centre

Confirmed aircraft include:

  • Pitts Stearman – pilot Ted Reynolds
  • Harvard – pilots Drew Watson / Scott Holms
  • RV-6 – pilot Ken Fowler
  • Long EZ – pilot Kyle Fowler
