The G950 is a seamlessly integrated package allowing pilots the ability to scan and process data efficiently and accurately using an all-electronic Garmin panel. The system assimilates flight critical information including instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on a large 12 inch multifunction display and two 10 inch primary flight displays. The installations also included the Genesys digital autopilot DFCS2100.

“The Garmin G950 glass flight deck in our Twin Commander fleet improves the pilot and Air Attack officer’s ability to assess multiple environmental hazards simultaneously. The innovative tool offers greater simplicity in the cockpit, fully integrating with the aircraft’s Max-Viz camera system, providing more data on demand to the Air Attack team, within a clean, assimilated display,” said Jeff Berry, business development at Conair.

For the installation, Conair partnered with Eagle Creek Aviation, who has long been an innovator in Twin Commander upgrades and modifications. As a leader in Twin Commander service and upgrades, Eagle Creek Aviation is an award-winning Garmin Service Center, Gogo Business Aviation dealer, multi-year FAA Diamond Award of Excellence recipient and an International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) accredited dealer and broker with nearly four decades of service.

“The G950 will make it easy for Conair’s pilots to overlay graphical weather, lightning, traffic, terrain and other avoidance system advisories, which is essential when faced with unfavorable weather conditions resulting from major environmental fires,” said Randy Morelock, director of avionics at Eagle Creek Aviation. “We were privileged to have had the opportunity to complete such an extensive and important project for Conair.”
