The Webster team have announced that the Webster Memorial Trophy Competition cannot be held this year. It will be back again in 2021, when the current issues with COVID-19 will hopefully be a thing of the past.

The team’s decision is based on its concern for the health and safety of its staff, applicants, and partner school. It also realizes the severe financial situation faced by so many in Canada’s aviation community and believe it to be insensitive to ask for support at this time. Therefore, it has determined that foregoing the search for Canada’s Top Amateur Pilot this year would be in the best interest for all.

The Webster team is currently completing the work required to wind down the 2020 competition. It will then direct its energies to plans for Webster 2021. It would like to extend sincere appreciation to all its supporters and sponsors for all their help and encouragement.
